About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards and procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and compliance across all JLL-managed properties and projects
- Lead the review and continuous improvement of engineering processes, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance operational performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including property management, sustainability, and project management to align engineering standards with organizational goals and client requirements
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of engineering operations to verify adherence to established standards and identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical guidance and training to engineering staff, ensuring a high level of competency and awareness of current standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering standards, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Support sustainability initiatives by integrating energy-efficient and environmentally responsible practices into engineering standards
- Act as a subject matter expert for engineering standards, representing JLL in client meetings, industry forums, and regulatory discussions as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering management, facilities management, or related field within commercial real estate
- Proven track record of developing and implementing engineering standards and procedures across multiple sites or portfolios
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems
- Deep understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and compliance requirements (OSHA, ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess complex engineering challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
