About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for all of account in Japan (especially local accounts)
  • Lead all procurement activities in accordance with contract requirements, especially in case of specified saving targets in SoW.
  • Ensure fair, open, and transparent procurement processes that demonstrate best value.
  • Manage end-to-end subcontractor lifecycle from identification to off boarding in JLL system.
  • Implement procurement strategies to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Lead competitive tendering processes in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive vendor database and ensure all suppliers meet security clearance requirements in the contract with the client.
  • Conduct vendor performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement programs.
  • Lead the S&P activities in transition & vendor onboarding.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with contract requirements, client policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Work with account team on all procurement-related matters.
  • Support account team with supplier coordination.
  • Liaise with account team (or client) on procurement approvals and supplier selections.
  • Maintain all information, data, and documents relating to supplier and subcontractor management as required by contract.
  • Prepare procurement-related reports for monthly operations meetings and quarterly reviews if necessary.
  • Support audit requirements with comprehensive procurement documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience required in a corporate environment or as a third-party service provider
  • Demonstrated experience with complex multi-vendor environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing strategies, competitive tendering, and contract negotiation
  • English Business Level proficiency recommended but not required
  • Ability to prepare procurement documentation in both Japanese and English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Goal-oriented with ability to meet strict deadlines and performance targets
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance level required by the contract.
  • Good team player
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Sedentary work with occasional site visits
  • Ability to attend vendor meetings at various locations
