About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all aspects of project implementation and execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and construction through completion and occupancy.
  • Manage complex projects from conception to delivery, potentially including ground-up construction with pre-construction duties such as programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, consultant selection, design team selection, schedule creation, contractor selection, vendor selection, and ground-breaking.
  • Provide appropriate on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met.
  • Establish and manage comprehensive project budgets covering both hard and soft costs.
  • Maintain monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis, prepare anticipated cost reports, and provide construction cost/benefit analysis as required by clients.
  • Collaborate extensively with architects, client staff, property managers, vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their goals and objectives while managing conflict resolution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, empowering them to thrive and excel.
  • Manage vendor and project team performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, all regulating entities, and client expectations.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, etc.)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in the commercial real estate industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
