About the role

  • Champion a culture of innovation, critical thinking, and project excellence within the team
  • Lead projects from initial concept through execution, ensuring the design vision is delivered impeccably and exceeds client expectations
  • Serve as a primary client contact on projects of all scales, building and nurturing lasting relationships
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, articulate design concepts, and actively partner with leadership to identify and win new project opportunities
  • Lead, manage, and mentor team members, cultivating a collaborative environment, and helping to recruit top talent as the practice scales
  • Take shared ownership of the studio’s financial performance and project delivery, ensuring projects are managed to scope, schedule, and budget

Requirements

  • A professional degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design is required
  • Professional Licensure (AIA) or Certification (NCIDQ/IIDA) is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial architecture or interior design, with a significant portfolio of built work
  • Proven experience in a design leadership role, with a track record of managing teams, mentoring staff, and overseeing multiple complex projects
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills , with the ability to engage and persuade a sophisticated client base
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to help build a successful practice
  • Strong client-facing experience and an established network within the local market is highly desirable.
