About the role
- Lead engineering team operations to safely and cost-effectively operate building systems while ensuring 100% uptime commitment
- Protect client assets through reliability-based maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and team leadership that maximizes building performance and value
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical/electrical equipment while overseeing preventive maintenance programs
- Supervise engineering and maintenance staff including hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure Critical Facility Work Authorization (CFWA) process compliance among staff, tenants, and contractors
- Manage contractor activities and maintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies
- Identify safety hazards, implement remediation, and administer comprehensive safety training programs
- Ensure Federal, State, and Local regulatory compliance and maintain infrastructure documentation
- Execute equipment inspection and monitoring programs while continuously evaluating maintenance methods
- Measure and manage client feedback through formal and informal relationship meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred
- 7+ years building operations and maintenance experience
- 3+ years supervisory experience managing engineering and maintenance teams
- Experience with commercial building systems and critical facility operations
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical/electrical systems
- Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance and building automation systems
- Proven supervisory experience with hiring, training, and performance management
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and safety program implementation
