About the role

  • Driving the planning, coordination, and execution of programs that span several verticals within the JLL Engineering group
  • Working with key stakeholders, business, and key technical leaders to help align functional solutions and execute a plan for programs, including data management, data governance, data quality, strategy alignment, along with reporting and analytics
  • Continuous Improvement: Detect systematic issues, process problems, and other risks and work with the appropriate colleagues to find resolutions
  • Proactively manage assigned projects/programs to ensure milestones are achieved within plan, including proactively managing execution progress, managing communications, reporting status, managing resources, managing change, removing roadblocks, and resolving conflicts
  • Manages and monitors project budget resources, deliverables, quality, forecasting, milestones, and scopes of work
  • Tracking and reporting of key milestones and business metrics; Creating data visualizations and dashboard summaries for executive-level management
  • Own and execute implementation plans for defined engineering programs designed for increasing engineering efficiency and productivity
  • Ownership and management of engineering operations and maintenance of all building systems for the portfolio
  • Serve as SME for engineering-related projects and support the IFM team as a trusted advisor to ensure all PM programs are completed on time and efficiently
  • Ensure maintenance of facility electrical, mechanical, structural, life safety, and critical back-up systems are maintained, and system up time is maximized
  • Apprise the FM and client stakeholder teams of all conditions affecting system operations and reliability
  • The specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, program management, procedure development, and tracking of operational indices

Requirements

  • 5+ years in commercial facility operations
  • Extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression system knowledge of commercial/critical facilities
  • Managerial experience of direct and indirect reports
  • Ability to get peers on board through vision sharing and trust
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
  • Must have fundamental skills in critical systems such as emergency/stand-by generators, HVAC systems, and BAS/BMS technologies
  • Must be able to respond 24/7 as needed outside of time off requests in the event of emergencies and business-impacting incidents
  • Ability to manage urgent matters with thought leadership, collective reasoning, and a leadership mentality
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
