About the role

  • Develop and manage facilities goods supplier relationships for JLL Marketplace business
  • Support development and implementation of MRO category strategy and drive distribution & manufacturer strategies within assigned sub-categories
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Category Management and primary relationship manager for distributor & manufacturer partners
  • Support contracting and negotiation strategies to optimize supply partnerships
  • Use data, market and industry intelligence to analyze category and partnership health and develop solutions
  • Develop and implement category and supplier programs, including scope development, marketing strategy support and commercial enablement
  • Identify risk and provide proactive solutions for risk mitigation and supply contingency
  • Support assigned distribution partners in maintaining quality of catalog content through JLL Marketplace Product Team tools and processes
  • Prepare high quality papers and presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with various users and influencers across multiple levels of the organization, exercising independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize workload
  • Position is virtual/home office; Austin, Atlanta, or Charlotte area is highly preferred

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business or engineering - supply chain, sourcing and procurement, industrial sales or operations background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with contract management, project management, account management and supplier relationship management
  • Understanding of B2B product procurement systems and knowledge of emerging procurement technologies is highly desirable.
  • Professional yet personable demeanor with communication skills (verbal and written) to successfully communicate with and influence clients’ and suppliers’ representatives, internal business stakeholders and team members
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt for urgent business needs.
