About the role

  • Maintain existing functionality and build new features for MembersFirst private-club platform
  • Migrate legacy VBScript/Classic ASP codebase into a modern .NET 8 application
  • Work with MSSQL database for performance enhancements and maintenance
  • Expand and maintain APIs, web services and integrations on a Microsoft stack
  • Use JavaScript and new APIs to ensure seamless client transitions
  • Investigate and patch reported bugs alongside Client Services
  • Collaborate with product planning to design and build new features
  • Become a technical expert on the product and guide implementation decisions

Requirements

  • 10+ years software development experience using Microsoft-centric Technologies (ASP / Asp.Net)
  • 10+ years of database design and maintenance experience using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong understanding of security and data protection
  • Strong web service based development skills (WCF, MVC, Soap, Rest)
  • Experience consuming third party services (internal or external)
  • Experience creating APIs/Services for third parties to consume
  • Experience working on Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with teams and owning individual assignments
  • Strong written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Quick learner; enjoys facing new problems
  • Strong decision quality and ability to advise others
  • Team player with cooperation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong perseverance and drive to finish tasks
