About the role

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the food quality program for quality control and assurance
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance and integration of Salm quality philosophy
  • Administer Quality Assurance programs to ensure product meets specifications
  • Serve as HACCP Coordinator and liaison for Food Safety and QA groups
  • Develop and maintain Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Manage Internal Audit and Corrective Action processes
  • Communicate Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Evaluate new vendors for customer requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Microbiology, Food Science or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years quality management experience in USDA-regulated food manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of USDA regulations and standards required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of computer proficiency in a Windows environment, preferably with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
  • Must have ability to learn new software as needed
  • Must possess ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
