About the role

  • Manage supervision responsible for shipping, receiving of raw materials, finished goods inventory, internal warehousing, and all activities associated with coordination of the delivery to end customers.
  • Must ensure the assigned team is meeting customer expectations while maintaining compliance with all safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP, and USDA requirements for product tracking and traceability.
  • Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
  • Supervise Logistics Coordinator and Warehouse Supervision.
  • Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.
  • Respond to any issues or complaints.
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and SPO are strictly followed.
  • Communicate with Customers and Suppliers to verify order or shipment requirements.
  • Communicates shipment schedule changes as necessary to ensure customers are informed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years logistics experience is required, preferably in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is also required.
  • Must have previous forklift operation experience and be able to secure a forklift license issued by the company.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have professional telephone etiquette.
  • Must have the ability to interface effectively with outside vendors and customers.
  • Must be able to train users with inventory system modules.
  • Must have strong computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Previous experience with an integrated manufacturing software MRP or ERP system is required.
  • Previous experience with bar coding systems is also strongly preferred.
