About the role

  • Responsible to organize and oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance for machineries, maintaining inventories and maintenance areas, and maintenance record keeping.
  • Oversee and guide technicians, assign daily tasks, and ensure work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance and repair work to minimize operational downtime.
  • Offer technical support on engineering-related matters, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure a timely internal response to machinery breakdowns.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled and regularly update work order statuses to requesters.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, manage receiving and issuing of spare parts, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure proper labelling and storage in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Submit monthly stock balance and machine breakdown reports, and maintain accurate records for PM, WO, calibration, and MSDS.
  • Ensure the maintenance workshop is clean, organized, and follows the 5S principles and company safety standards.
  • Liaise with management, suppliers, and contractors to review work progress, discuss technical requirements, and follow up on external services.
  • Prepare and provide required documentation during audits, and ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, food safety, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Monitor the quality of maintenance works, ensure tasks meet internal standards, and resolve facility-related and inspection issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering - Mechanical or Electrical
  • 3-5 years of experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Proficiency in electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Strong leadership skills i.e. in communication, interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders, decision-making, delegation, ability to motivate a team, demonstrate integrity, adaptability.
  • Ability to analyze and solve technical problems effectively.
  • Understanding food industry standards, regulations, and best practices, is bonus.
