About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Value Stream Leaders to understand business strategy and develop long-term sourcing strategies
  • Improve supply reliability and optimize material costs for key growth products
  • Lead Market Engagement Programs supporting competitive bidding for Make vs. Buy assessments, NPI supplier selection, and targeted component spend
  • Orchestrate category and supplier management and oversee execution of strategic and business plans
  • Support 5+ strategic sourcing initiatives simultaneously across products, procurement categories, and geographies
  • Communicate business issues and opportunities to the next management level
  • Lead multiple complex supplier negotiations and coordinate stakeholders
  • Drive favorable terms for Biosense and hand off stabilized products, contracts, and suppliers to base business sourcing teams
  • Lead SOURCE due diligence and transaction support for product supply/distribution and acquisition activities
  • Optimize quality, supply reliability, innovation, and cost through early supplier engagement during product development
  • Identify and develop external partner capabilities to meet future technology needs
  • Ensure applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines are followed by managed staff
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s and/or University degree is required; advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience in a Procurement, Supply Chain/Operations, Quality, R&D or Engineering field
  • Experience in Medical Devices or related industry
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Should cost modeling and other cost management tools preferred
  • Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of project management, change management, and developing sourcing strategies
  • Ability to engage at the leadership level with suppliers and within J&J
  • Ability to absorb and analyze information to solve complex problems quickly
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful completion
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

  • Preferred: procurement experience with components and products related to the Electrophysiology industry
