About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support clients and patients in the Charleston/Columbia, South Carolina territory
- Develop relationships with CARVYKTI® Certified Treatment Centers and serve as their primary J&J contact
- Drive appropriate utilization of J&J CAR-T therapy and ensure a seamless customer experience
- Call on community practices and stakeholders in the Relapse Refractory Multiple Myeloma market
- Deliver product and referral-process awareness and education to community stakeholders
- Sell current and potential new oncology therapeutics and fulfill sales strategies
- Provide clinical product support and achieve sales quota
- Conduct business analysis and prospect for new business within the assigned territory
- Develop account strategies with the District Manager and identify key accounts and healthcare professionals
- Create customer-specific pre- and post-call plans
- Build customer dedication, cultivate relationships, and influence decision-makers with approved clinical and marketing materials
- Collaborate with J&J Innovative Medicine team members and cross-functional stakeholders
- Maintain knowledge of products, therapeutic markets, healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement, managed care, specialty pharmacies, and treatment modalities
- Attend required sales meetings and complete training, compliance, expense, call-reporting, and administrative responsibilities
- Drive multiple myeloma CAR-T brand choice and demand among institution-based oncology customers
- Drive clinical and product education among community-based providers
- Provide timely account and healthcare professional insights to cross-functional teams
- Meet with clinical, financial, and operational CTC stakeholders
- Navigate complex account environments and triage stakeholder needs to internal teams
- Participate in grassroots advocacy and engagement activities
- Develop and implement territory and account business plans
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, educational grants, speaker events, and external expenditures
- Represent J&J at national and local symposiums and conventions
- Work hands-on with urgency in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Oncology specialty sales experience AND/OR Major Hospital Account Sales Experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends
- A minimum of five (5) years of direct selling experience in pharmaceutical or biologic/biotech with documented success in delivering sales results and achieving targets OR relevant clinical experience
- Experience in hospital and large account sales
- Understanding of complex reimbursement and managed care dynamics
- Documented history of successful sales performance in a competitive environment
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to identify key decision makers
- Strong achievement and motivation to meet and exceed goals
- Residing in the geography or willingness to relocate to it
- Ability to effectively utilize virtual technology and history of engaging customers in virtual face-to-face interactions
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Preferred: specialty sales experience and understanding of Oncology, Hematology, Cell Therapy and/or rare disease
- Preferred: previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment
- Preferred: Multiple Myeloma experience
- Preferred: strong clinical understanding of cell therapy and ability to manage complex treatment logistics
- Preferred: experience in hospital and large account sales handling complex reimbursement issues
- Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI
- If under 18, may need necessary working papers or other documentation and parent’s consent for background check
