About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales performance within the assigned territory while following compliance guidelines
  • Call on predominantly Primary Care healthcare professional offices and select PC targets in person and virtually
  • Develop product and disease-state knowledge
  • Educate and engage healthcare professionals regarding clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety
  • Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives
  • Customize customer interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner
  • Maintain understanding of local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers
  • Share market and customer information with internal stakeholders
  • Provide input into regional resource-allocation decisions
  • Identify and select appropriate programs and resources for customers, practices, and systems
  • Provide special education to healthcare providers through compliant programs
  • Work with the District Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan
  • Capitalize on formulary approvals and business opportunities through strategic-plan execution
  • Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
  • Manage work hours, sales-call data, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expenses accurately and on time
  • Meet or exceed all Neuroscience Sales Representative deliverables
  • Create and maintain compliant business plans based on customer needs, resources, and products
  • Complete required company and job-related training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience
  • Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
  • Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
  • Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers
  • High integrity and compliance with Company policies and procedures
  • Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent decision-making judgment
  • Strong teaming, collaboration, and cross-functional skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt in an evolving environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work meetings outside normal working hours
  • Ability to travel overnight depending on territory geography and travel domestically for headquarters, training, and sales meetings
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
