About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process areas
- Execute timely financial period closing according to the closing calendar and SLA commitments
- Ensure compliance with Internal Audit and SOX requirements
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity of reported actuals
- Build team expertise in Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements
- Lead an accounting team of B25 and below associates
- Support auditors and legal authorities
- Monitor, remediate, and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders
- Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks
- Maintain strong internal controls and achieve adequate audit ratings
- Attract, develop, retain, and motivate a diverse team
- Develop succession plans and support team career development
- Manage team performance effectively
- Act as a trusted business partner and influence strategy and solutions
- Recruit, mentor, and drive Process SMEs for cross-sector, cross-region, and cross-process alignment
- Engage stakeholders on progress and issues and collaborate on solutions
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and operational change
- Identify and pursue business and efficiency opportunities
- Lead or participate in regional, global, and cross-functional duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years in a Supervisory/1st Line Leader role in a Shared Service or BPO organization
- Experience leading and managing large teams of approximately 15 or more
- Track record of participating in continuous improvement and/or organizational or process transformation
- Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a multinational company
- Experience in multiple migrations of work
- Strategic, innovative, and agile mindset
- Strong accountability for individual and team results
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and work efficiently to tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders
- Openness to new ideas, rapid change, and new technologies
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations pragmatically
- Fluent in English
- Up to 10% international travel
- Willingness to work flexible shifts aligned with global or regional responsibilities
- CPA, CMA, MBA, and/or other financial certification preferred
- Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge preferred
- Digital/intelligent automation capabilities preferred
