About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process areas
Execute timely financial period closing according to the closing calendar and SLA commitments
Ensure compliance with Internal Audit and SOX requirements
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity of reported actuals
Build team expertise in Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements
Lead an accounting team of B25 and below associates
Support auditors and legal authorities
Monitor, remediate, and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders
Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks
Maintain strong internal controls and achieve adequate audit ratings
Attract, develop, retain, and motivate a diverse team
Develop succession plans and support team career development
Manage team performance effectively
Act as a trusted business partner and influence strategy and solutions
Recruit, mentor, and drive Process SMEs for cross-sector, cross-region, and cross-process alignment
Engage stakeholders on progress and issues and collaborate on solutions
Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and operational change
Identify and pursue business and efficiency opportunities
Lead or participate in regional, global, and cross-functional duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Minimum 5 years in a Supervisory/1st Line Leader role in a Shared Service or BPO organization
Experience leading and managing large teams of approximately 15 or more
Track record of participating in continuous improvement and/or organizational or process transformation
Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a multinational company
Experience in multiple migrations of work
Strategic, innovative, and agile mindset
Strong accountability for individual and team results
Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and work efficiently to tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders
Openness to new ideas, rapid change, and new technologies
Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations pragmatically
Fluent in English
Up to 10% international travel
Willingness to work flexible shifts aligned with global or regional responsibilities
CPA, CMA, MBA, and/or other financial certification preferred
Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge preferred
Digital/intelligent automation capabilities preferred
