About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Demonstrate the value and impact of the Impella® product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff
  • Advise Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons on patient selection
  • Partner on training and attend implants
  • Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction, including clinical demonstrations and ongoing training
  • Collect clinically relevant data and complete outcome reviews with customers
  • Communicate activities with team members and sales counterparts
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on appropriate use of Impella® devices
  • Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications
  • Use Integrity Selling to drive Impella usage with physicians
  • Set up one-to-one physician meetings and conversations
  • Host physician and staff dinner programs
  • Collaborate with the sales counterpart on awareness programs and franchise activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or Reg Tech patient support experience in an ICU, CVICU, Cath Lab, or Cardiovascular OR
  • 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to cardiovascular products and technologies
  • Ability to advance the sales process with customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Availability to take call for emergent patient care
  • Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings
  • Ability to travel 50% within the territory
  • Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry
  • Hands-on Impella support experience strongly preferred
  • Experience as an Abiomed per diem preferred
  • RN license strongly preferred
  • ECMO experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to advocate with physicians
  • Experience delivering clinical training
