About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead procurement strategy for the Commercial Category
  • Deliver cost efficiency, quality, innovation, sustainability, financial, ESG, service, and innovation outcomes
  • Develop category strategies and align them with company strategy and goals
  • Define sourcing strategies, shape the supply base, and drive supplier relationships
  • Engage executive leadership and business partners to align Procurement activities with business objectives
  • Orchestrate procurement service delivery across the commercial organization
  • Provide external market insights and support strategic planning
  • Anticipate business demand and deliver annual value improvements
  • Conduct analytics and innovative work to implement category strategy
  • Lead major strategic negotiations for owned categories
  • Promote digital tools and automation opportunities
  • Use procurement systems and analytics to improve supplier and sourcing performance
  • Benchmark industry best practices and advance procurement capabilities
  • Cultivate inclusion, learning, and engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience in procurement or a related discipline
  • Experience in Procurement and/or Category Management
  • Experience developing category strategies or multi-year sourcing roadmaps
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of cost drivers, market dynamics, and risk trade-offs
  • Experience in sourcing strategy, supplier management, competitive bidding, and complex contract negotiation
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong advanced analytics skills
  • Familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional sourcing initiatives/projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to understand business challenges through the eyes of business leaders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting complex information to senior executives
  • Demonstrated learning agility
  • Travel up to 10% domestic and international may be required
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in a related industry strongly preferred
  • Experience standing up a team and leading teams through organizational transformation preferred
