About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement an account plan for each facility
  • Identify and foster relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers across facilities
  • Mobilize divisional resources to anticipate and respond to facility-level customer needs, problems, and opportunities
  • Lead sales representatives in implementing and completing sales demand strategies
  • Provide sales representatives with support, supervisory oversight, and customer engagement to achieve or exceed sales forecasts
  • Use people, processes, programs, tools, and technology effectively to meet customer needs
  • Manage and coordinate Demand and Access resources for facility-level needs
  • Create facility-level cost-benefit analyses to deploy resources and prioritize opportunities
  • Collaborate across MedTech Surgery to meet facility needs
  • Examine contract issues and make recommendations based on financial analysis
  • Use business insight tools to identify facility-specific growth opportunities
  • Manage a team of sales representatives and conduct field visits to develop selling skills
  • Coach representatives and support individual development plans and career development
  • Recruit and hire qualified sales associates
  • Lead the team through a concise, compliant, professional, ethical, and persuasive selling process
  • Handle customer product questions and objections and conduct sales presentations
  • Understand appropriate surgical product use and coach representatives on customer targeting and segmentation
  • Conduct business according to the Business Conduct Policy, HCC, and other Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in an applicable field required
  • MBA (or equivalent) preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant business and/or leadership experience required
  • 5+ years in clinical sales, marketing, professional education, sales learning/development, or commercial functional experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring, or training required
  • 1–2 years of direct leadership experience managing a group of employees
  • Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program and/or interim RSM role of 6+ months preferred
  • Valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States required
  • Ability to travel, including overnight and/or weekends, up to 60% of the time required
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Apple applications
  • Knowledge of surgical product use within defined surgical specialties
  • Ability to conduct compliant, professional, ethical, and persuasive sales activities
  • Ability to handle customer product questions and objections using sales training methodology
  • Experience with facility-level account management, cost-benefit analysis, contract issues, and financial analysis
