About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain distribution and utilization of the Impella 5.5 left-sided treatment
  • Manage EXCEL sites and clinicals on new surgery, heart failure, ECMO technologies
  • Collaborate within the area to achieve quarter-over-quarter growth
  • Drive excitement and vision for heart recovery solutions with existing devices and future technologies
  • Engage Cardiac Surgeons, Heart Failure Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Intensivists, and Perfusionists
  • Staff major conferences including HFSA, AHA, STS, AATS, and ISHLT
  • Staff local heart failure symposiums
  • Build the surgical vertical in established Impella programs across the full product portfolio
  • Work with cardiology sales and clinical teams to drive growth across the designated territory
  • Enable physicians and staff to recover hearts and save patients’ lives through the Impella product portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Surgical Account Manager: minimum 10+ years of cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical device sales experience
  • Associate Account Manager: minimum 5+ years of cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical device clinical or sales experience
  • Proven track record of selling in an operating room required
  • Proven track record leading and motivating teams to achieve quotas
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery and structural heart anatomy
  • Established relationships/network of Cardiac Surgeons across the region
  • Proven track record of technology adoption and market development
  • Direct patient support experience
  • Ability to drive patient outcomes
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% overnight
  • Ability to conduct duties in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry
