About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the global process owner and subject matter expert for FTA and COO programs.
  • Develop and maintain global standards, controls, governance frameworks, and process strategies in relation to FTA and COO.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts to global trade processes and compliance requirements in the area.
  • Provide strategic guidance and escalation support for complex FTA and COO matters.
  • Lead risk management, audit readiness, compliance assessments, and continuous process improvement initiative for FTAs and COO.
  • Partner with Digital Enablement teams to define technology requirements and advance trade compliance capabilities for the 2 target areas.
  • Drive alignment across regions, sectors, and functional organizations to support consistent execution of FTA and COO global processes.
  • Develop COO and FTA training, communications, and capability-building initiatives to strengthen organizational knowledge and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives that support Global Trade Controls priorities and transformation objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelors or equivalent university degree is required.
  • Advanced or Masters degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years + of significant experience in Global Trade, Customs, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Compliance, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Free Trade Agreements, Country of Origin, and customs compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional programs and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, Master’s in International Trade/Supply Chain) preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., LCB, CCS, CITP, CUSECO, CES) a plus.
  • Experience within a regulated industry, particularly healthcare.
