About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead technical solutioning for Therapeutic Area products
  • Define end-to-end technical architectures across scientific workflows, data platforms, AI solutions, and knowledge management ecosystems.
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture, data, and security standards
  • Promote reuse of existing platforms and shared capabilities
  • Partner with Product Managers
  • Shape product designs to ensure feasibility, scalability, and maintainability
  • Quickly validate technical assumptions before investment decisions
  • Provide technical input into backlog prioritization, sequencing, and roadmap planning
  • Build lightweight proof-of-concepts and technical spikes to assess new technologies and integration approaches
  • Enable delivery across teams
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are clearly understood and implemented effectively
  • Align with enterprise architects, platform teams, and vendors on solution direction
  • Identify and manage technical dependencies across products
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and scale solutions across TA products
  • Bring forward and evaluate relevant emerging technologies (e.g., data platforms, AI/GenAI, workflow orchestration) and recommend build, buy or partner approaches.
  • Contribute to evolving architecture frameworks and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and implementing technical solutions, architectures, and integrations for complex business or scientific workflows
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical R&D, biotech, scientific software, research informatics, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly evaluate technologies, build prototypes, and validate technical feasibility through proof-of-concepts and pilots.
  • Experience collaborating across product management, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience influencing technical direction without direct management responsibility.
