About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
  • Communicate plans and protocols for clinical trial projects to team members in order to ensure the organization is generating effective service and meeting established standards.
  • Directs project proposal activities from team members to ensure compliance with the company's regulatory, safety, quality, and confidentiality protocols and standards.
  • Maintain the analysis and planning of the company's clinical trial data, development of project timelines, engagement with external stakeholders, accounting, and development of presentations to ensure accordance with the company's overall drug development program objectives.
  • Consolidate information throughout clinical project timelines and presents applicable information to leaders and stakeholders to keep key figures up to date with project affairs.
  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree or equivalent, preferred areas of study include Life Sciences (Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nursing, Pharmacy)
  • Minimum of 8 years in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or related industries.
  • Clinical research operational knowledge and experience across multiple phases of studies (phase I-IV); ability to manage all aspects of execution of a clinical trial.
  • Minimum 2 years prior line management experience or 3-5 years matrixed leadership experience is required.
  • Excellent decision-making & analytical skills are essential to this position.
  • Capable of working independently and achieving tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Strong project planning/management, communication, and presentation skills are required.
  • Successful track record of developing talent and leaders of leaders is preferred.
  • Proven track record of collaboration across organizations to innovate, implement efficiencies, and drive complex change.
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams and overseeing significant projects leadership experience in facilitating change and exerting influence in a complex setting.
  • Trusted, inclusive leader with demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring cross-functional, global teams.
  • Effective leadership skills and proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness in a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Strong financial analysis and decision-making skills are required.
