About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development of next generation surgical navigation and planning systems.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of systems, hardware, firmware, quality, and regulatory partners.
  • Deliver safe, reliable, and scalable software that directly impacts patient outcomes.
  • Build production grade on device clinical applications and services in C#/.NET for Windows and iOS targets, integrating with local and cloud services.
  • Develop concurrent, multi threaded components and services using REST APIs and databases.
  • Use secure coding principles to ensure cybersecurity and patient safety with appropriate technologies and cybersecurity processes.
  • Build cloud connected backends and integrations in Azure or similar cloud environments.
  • Drive software quality through unit/integration/system tests, profiling, observability, and CI/CD integration.
  • Contribute to regulatory documentation, traceability, and V&V aligned with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and related guidance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong proficiency in full-stack C#/.NET development, object oriented design, and core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms) including at least one front-end technology.
  • Experience in Medical Device or MedTech industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on, experience in developing and supporting a full-stack application system with customer facing front-end (GUI) that integrates with on-device and cloud backend systems.
  • Experience with Windows application development using WPF.
  • Excellent ability to author technical documentation for software applications.
  • Proficiency across the full SDLC in a regulated environment: requirements, design, implementation, testing, traceability, release, and maintenance.
  • Strong debugging and profiling skills on Windows; experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills; ability to be a key participant in architecture and design reviews.
