About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws through accurate preparation, review, and filing of tax returns and related schedules.
- Prepare and analyze tax calculations, supporting schedules, and documentation for income tax provision and statutory reporting.
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the business.
- Support internal and external audits, including responding to tax authority inquiries and coordinating with external advisors.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of tax processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects related to tax policy, systems, and process enhancements.
- Assist with tax modeling, forecasts, and analysis to support business initiatives, acquisitions, or restructuring activities.
- Provide guidance and informal coaching to junior team members on tax compliance activities and best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in U.S. tax compliance, tax accounting, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing or reviewing corporate income tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Ability to analyze tax legislation and translate requirements into practical business guidance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- English (business proficiency required).
