About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for automation, control systems, asset management, and engineering execution across all manufacturing, distribution, and Deliver sites within the North American and Latin American regions.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for the Americas engineering footprint.
  • Elevate localized operations into a unified, pan-regional framework—bridging the gap between functional strategy and technical execution.
  • Establish early-stage project governance, standardize regional controls infrastructure, enforce rigorous GxP/FDA/ISO compliance, and lead cross-border engineering teams to eliminate operational downtime and drive intelligent automation across the hemisphere.
  • Direct and manage the Americas engineering organizational footprint, providing strategic leadership to the North American and LATAM Engineering teams.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, motivation, and professional development of engineering staff across the Americas; mentor, challenge, and structure the team to build regional leadership capacity.
  • Foster inclusiveness, diversity, and collaborative knowledge-sharing between NA and LATAM facilities to replicate engineering breakthroughs and elevate weaker operational nodes.
  • Serve as the primary Engineering stakeholder and authority in early-stage decision-making for major capital projects, cloud migrations, and global initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Engineering or related area of study preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience Engineering experience, with a proven track record of managing multi-site distribution automation, robotics, or complex control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach professional engineering teams.
  • Well-developed presentation and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across international borders.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with FPX, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.
  • Expert-level knowledge of GMP principles, qualification/validation approaches, safety regulations, and working within regulated (GxP/FDA/ISO) environments.
  • May require up to 30% domestic and/or international travel to other sites and locations.
