About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the preparation and review of the U.S. quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee U.S. federal and state tax reporting, including coordination of data inputs from cross-functional Finance teams.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to U.S. tax reporting and disclosures.
- Partner with Corporate Tax, FP&A, and Controllership to assess the tax impact of business activities, restructurings, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor changes in U.S. tax legislation and accounting standards, assessing implications and leading implementation as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement of tax reporting processes, controls, and documentation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide coaching and development to team members and contribute to a strong compliance and control culture.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or MBA (preferred).
- Typically 8–10+ years of progressive experience in U.S. corporate income tax and tax reporting within a large, complex organization or public accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP income tax accounting and reporting requirements.
- Ability to partner effectively with Finance, Controllership, and external advisors.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
- Preferred Experience in a multinational or regulated industry environment.
- Prior leadership or people-management experience.
- Familiarity with tax provision software and large ERP systems.
- Experience supporting audits and interacting with external auditors.
- CPA or other relevant professional certification.
