About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide on-site and remote technical support for DePuy Synthes orthopedic systems, including installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to support product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, and customer onboarding activities.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in hospital and clinical environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
Execute preventive maintenance, upgrades, and corrective actions in compliance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, service reports, and field test records to support compliance and continuous improvement.
Provide technical training and guidance to customers and internal partners on proper system use and care.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to escalate product issues and support product enhancements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline)
0–2 years of relevant experience in field service engineering, technical service, or a comparable customer-facing engineering role
Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting complex electromechanical or medical devices
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical documentation skills
Working knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices
Physical ability to handle and transport equipment (including lifting up to approximately 25 kg / 55 lbs)
Portuguese required; English proficiency preferred
Valid driver’s license required for customer site visits
