About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assigning specific alliances within Oncology and will lead partnership integration through launch, direction and strategic shifts, and enhancements
  • Implementing Alliance Management programmatic processes and tools appropriate to the scope and needs of the alliance
  • Participating as a member of the joint R&D and commercial project teams to proactively foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners to the goals and objectives of the alliance
  • Openly, proactively, and clearly communicating across all lines of the partnership including Senior Management
  • Anticipating and resolving issues and conflicts arising out of changing priorities and unpredictable events
  • Monitoring the progress of the contract obligations and milestones and effectively monitor the satisfaction of the partner
  • Providing input during pre-deal negotiations
  • Facilitating and/or negotiating ancillary agreements and amendments
  • Monitoring the progress of the contract obligations and milestones and effectively monitor the health of the alliance/partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree required
  • An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical or commercial field is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience, working in a scientific, technical or commercial organization is required
  • Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity is required
  • Experience in managing and working in a team environment is required, with a proven ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across multiple functions and companies to build interdependent partnerships
  • An understanding of drug development is required
  • Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, negotiation, and decision making will be needed
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong communication and listening skills are required
  • Ability to manage complexities, think strategically and exercise good judgment is required
