About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner
  • Understand and identify customer needs, aligning marketing resources and supporting pull-through activities
  • Embody and communicate Intra-Cellular’s corporate vision
  • Develop superior product and disease state knowledge
  • Engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals
  • Create local strategic and tactical plans
  • Provide effective application of budget and expense management within assigned territory
  • Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives
  • Provide timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, and customer objectives
  • Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within required timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must have 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience required
  • Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
  • Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
  • Must have strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers
  • Must act with high integrity and always in accordance with the Company’s Compliance policies and procedures
  • Must have strong sense of self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial thirst
  • Must have excellent decision-making judgment, strong teaming/collaboration and cross-functional skills
  • Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues
  • Must have strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse customer audience.
  • Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside of normal working hours
  • Some domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings will also be required on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
