About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads team in translating manufacturing process requirements into scalable, robust technology solutions and provides oversight to innovation stage-gate process, ensuring alignment from concept through deployment.
- Develops and deploys equipment design standards and equipment introduction norms, establishing prerequisites for capital investment approval.
- Manages relationships with key equipment suppliers and defines global purchasing standards to drive consistency, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Serves as global machine safety champion, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across sites.
- Coaches team in development of technical performance metrics and dashboards (yield, process capability, cycle time, OEE, etc.) for assigned technology platforms.
- Participates in WCH business planning cycle and contributes to long range investment plan.
- Reviews and approves design packages, validation documents (IQ/OQ/PQ), purchase orders, CAPA records, and other business documentation.
- Provides oversight to global digital and automation strategy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a business or technical role is required.
- Experience in supervising engineers and technical professionals.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficiency in problem solving methodologies (Six Sigma, RCPS, Kepner Tregoe, PCDA, etc.).
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence with and without authority.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC/DCS), robotics, servomotors, instrumentation, vision systems, SCADA networks, and/or MES systems is preferred.
