About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leads team in translating manufacturing process requirements into scalable, robust technology solutions and provides oversight to innovation stage-gate process, ensuring alignment from concept through deployment.
Develops and deploys equipment design standards and equipment introduction norms, establishing prerequisites for capital investment approval.
Manages relationships with key equipment suppliers and defines global purchasing standards to drive consistency, quality, and cost efficiency.
Serves as global machine safety champion, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across sites.
Coaches team in development of technical performance metrics and dashboards (yield, process capability, cycle time, OEE, etc.) for assigned technology platforms.
Participates in WCH business planning cycle and contributes to long range investment plan.
Reviews and approves design packages, validation documents (IQ/OQ/PQ), purchase orders, CAPA records, and other business documentation.
Provides oversight to global digital and automation strategy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a business or technical role is required.
Experience in supervising engineers and technical professionals.
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
Proficiency in problem solving methodologies (Six Sigma, RCPS, Kepner Tregoe, PCDA, etc.).
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to influence with and without authority.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
Knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC/DCS), robotics, servomotors, instrumentation, vision systems, SCADA networks, and/or MES systems is preferred.
