About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • In collaboration with E2E Supply Chain leader of Spine, Sports & CMF, will be accountable to shape and prioritize individual business strategies into a holistic E2E Spine, Sports & CMF SC Strategy
  • Responsible to develop and manage the portfolio of Supply Chain projects in alignment with Product Value Streams to drive Quality, Growth, Reliability and Financial improvements globally
  • Facilitate ideation and creation of quantified business cases in support of the E2E Product Value Stream Roadmaps for new strategic programs, COGS improvement and supply chain network
  • Execute key strategic programs using project management tools and standard processes and collaborating closely with cross functional team members to ensure successful execution
  • Ownership of Value Capture Plan (VCP) and COGS roadmaps together with Value Streams.
  • Oversee cost action governance structure to drive value through cost reduction, cost avoidance and optimization setting achieving profitability goals
  • Lead Financial and Strategic Planning cycles (Business Plan, June & November Update, Long Range Financial Plan etc.) through partnership with the SCLT and ensure integration with Commercial, R&D and DS SC&O strategies
  • Manage process, governance, metrics, and analytics for the Spine, Sports & CMFT SC Portfolio including capital, expense and value capture across the platform
  • Establish, collect, analyze, and present monthly and/or quarterly metrics and facilitate scorecard reviews including risk management and corrective action processes and tracking of action plans
  • Lead the development of the Spine, Sports & CMFT SCLT agenda and preparation for relevant topics, including tracking of action plans as well as SC organization communication and talent strategy such as town halls, leadership reviews, talent talks, newsletters etc.
  • Lead the development of Yearly G&Os and Quarterly Business Reviews for capturing progress toward objectives and delivering value to the organization
  • Perform portfolio analytics as needed to support Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management
  • Develop concise executive‑level summaries highlighting what matters and why and where leadership attention is required
  • Support preparation of state‑of‑the‑business materials, pulling together insights across financial performance, operational metrics and strategic initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Focus Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Supply Chain is preferred.
  • A Master Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience is required
  • Experience with project management and program management processes and tools is required
  • Financial skills, including business case development experience is preferred.
  • Experience, training or certification in Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools and methodologies is preferred
  • Certification in Project Management methodologies is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and influence decision-making without authority across a matrix organization is required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required
  • Comfort working with financials, performance metrics and analytics; able to ask the right questions and spot what matters
  • Product cost management and budget management
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic travel and limited international travel.
