About the role
- Review contract requests and collaborates with sales and marketing to develop offers that meet customer needs and align with commercial strategies such as Growth, Performance and NBI Rebates.
- Manages internal offer review and approval processes.
- Prepares contracts, amendments, and notices in accordance with contracting guidelines and approved templates for IDN’s, Hospitals and ISA Agreements.
- Prepares, reviews and executes RFI’s and RFP’s cross references for IDN’s, Hospitals, GPO’s and ISA Agreements including proposals and T&C’s.
- Reviews and redlines terms and conditions in partnership with legal and other internal partners.
- Administers contracts through their lifecycle (including, but not limited to, system setup, price loading, rebate delivery and performance analysis records retention, roster management for IDN’s, letters of commitment, renewal).
- Completes review and analysis of promotions, sales, and contract data including financial requirements and strategic impact.
- Manages tier pricing strategy including analysis, price integrity, implementation, and customer communication.
- Meets as needed with Regional Sales Directors sales management, legal department, and others as needed to discuss agreement requirements, terms and conditions review.
- Reviews requests for pricing exceptions with management, legal, finance, marketing.
- Monitors customer contract compliance as required in contract terms and conditions and make recommendations to the contract management if contract modifications are required.
- Provides reports and information to sales management as requested, can include department metrics, execution rates, promotion utilization, and purchase history.
- Ensure compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Government (GCC) and other requirements relating to pricing and contract compliance.
- Work with Key Account Director, Commercial Operations to facilitate internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes (escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties, e.g., Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management, Health Care Compliance, Privacy, CPLG).
- When assigned, facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal clients, consistent with company mission and values, to ensure that actions taken reflect terms of contracts and agreements.
- Provide regular guidance and training to business stakeholders, to ensure they understand contractual requirements as well as general legal and compliance environment.
- Ensuring conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures.
- Maintain assigned SOPs and Work instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Contracting or related field required.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive work experience required with a minimum of 4 years in a commercial contracting & redlining preferred.
- Experience in medical device or healthcare field is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales / customer focused environment.
- Leadership, collaboration, communication, and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines is required.
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required (advanced Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Proven strong analytic skills (advanced Excel).
- Proven leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
