About the role

  • Provide subject matter expertise, knowledge and execution support in the areas of physics-based modeling and simulation
  • Execute simulation and physical testing protocols to support evidence generation, product performance, reliability, safety and regulatory submissions
  • Develop and refine workflows and experimental methods to improve designs and generate evidence
  • Author technical reports for internal documentation, regulatory submissions and peer-reviewed publications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members including product development, quality, and regulatory to identify modeling opportunities and communicate technical findings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechanical engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering or related fields)
  • 6+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience with modeling and simulation, digital engineering or in silico research and development
  • Proficiency with CAE/simulation tools (ANSYS, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, Altair), CAD software (NX, PTC Creo, Solidworks), and programming languages (Python, C/C++, Fortran, MATLAB)
  • Analysis of data using complex statistical tools and Six Sigma Design Tools (e.g. Gauge R&R, DOE)
