About the role
- Establish Impella & Heart Recovery as the new Standard of Care in Lisbon and Surrounding Areas
- Provide training to MDs & hospital staff about the appropriate use of Impella
- Build relationships with critical decision makers and KOL'S in the assigned area
- Enable and drive patient growth and clinical performance in key centers
- Initiate and coordinate Abiomed customer training programs to develop physician skills
- Prioritize patient implant support and bedside visits in ICU-CCU
- Improve patient outcomes by implementing latest Abiomed clinical strategies
- Perform After Action Reviews with MD’s following each case
- Establish peer-to-peer networks across the region
Requirements
- University Degree required, Nursing or perfusionist degree is preferred
- Cardiology and/or Interventional cardiology experience required (ICU/CCU/CVICU, Cath Lab, CVOR, EP, etc.)
- ICU experience preferred
- Passion for training and education and be recognized as a “clinical expert”
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in medical device, biopharma, healthcare, or another regulated field is a plus
- Must demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate in international audience of healthcare professionals
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, take initiative, goal-oriented, open-minded, great teammate, and exercise independent judgment
- Strong communication skills to discuss products and therapy in an academic environment
- Experience in collaboration across departments (Marketing, Sales, Training, Physician Education, etc.)
- Fluent in English & Portuguese, Spanish is a plus and further languages are a plus
- Requires 75% travel within Portugal territory (North, Center, South) on a daily basis and sometimes to International sites within Europe for trainings and other company events.
