About the role
- Serve as Project Support for small capital projects, accountable for scope, technical delivery, execution, and coordination across subject areas.
- Act as Engineering or Workstream support on large-scale capital projects, supporting integrated master schedules, program management, and multi-functional alignment.
- Support projects through all phases: concept, feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and operational handover.
- Prepare and support project budgets, including materials, labor, and other associated costs, while controlling project costs by approving expenditures and administering contracts.
- Track project performance, analyze completion of key goals, and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain project documentation, including detailed project notes and records, and prepare status reports for team members and upper management.
- Support development and review of Engineering estimates and cost forecasts, Contractor scopes of work and technical exhibits, Change orders and technical impacts.
- Provide owner-side construction support, including technical support and issue resolution, constructability and safety reviews, contractor coordination and performance monitoring.
- Ensure alignment to J&J Employee Health & Safety (EHS) standards , construction safety policies, and safe work practices.
- Participate in field walks, progress reviews, system completions, and punch list resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field), Architecture or Construction Management from an accredited institution is required
- 0-2 years of proven experience supporting capital projects in: Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, or other regulated environments & industrial, laboratory, or manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with A&E and CM firms in an owner‑side role
- Hands-on experience in Asset Management, Maintenance, Reliability and Project Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in the English language is required.
