About the role
- Understand the JJ Technology priorities and devise category strategies that advance those priorities.
- Create Tech stacks with key Technology leaders to drive alignment on existing and upcoming technology priorities across the enterprise.
- Drive alignment between software sourcing strategy and IT architecture roadmaps, including cloud and hyperscaler strategies.
- Collaborate with business leaders and Service Delivery team to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs, and are adopted within the business.
- Identify industry trends that Procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business.
- Partner with the Category and Service Delivery teams and lead strategic sourcing events, negotiations and contract lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key software suppliers.
- Identify and deliver cost optimization and value creation opportunities.
- Deliver against savings, innovation and other performance targets for the organization in the role’s area of responsibility and ensure target achievement.
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree is required, and an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
- Minimum 12 -15 years related experience is required (preferably in Software Procurement, Business Operations or Supply Chain)
- Influencing skills - Able to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the executive level, as well as with peers.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, legal, finance, and business teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to expertly present complex information to executives.
- Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management, source-to-pay.
- Understanding of legal terms, compliance, and risk management in contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work with data, digital tools and technology to drive insights, business value and process efficiency.
- Strong project and change management capabilities.
- Proven learning agility, improving both yourself and the people around you.
- Ability to effectively deliver against Goals and Objectives while also balancing shared roles and responsibilities with other team members.
- Preferred experience in Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Medical Technology sectors.
- Past experience in managing IT procurement across Lifesciences, Pharmaceuticals.
- High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience.
- Track record in participating and leading cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment.
- Exposure to AI‑enabled software, data platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
