About the role

  • Serve as a liaison between the Regional Transportation Organization and supported Operating Companies (OpCos).
  • Manage inbound transportation networks to ensure optimal service for both shippers and receivers, resolving tactical issues on an exception basis.
  • Provide input and analysis for strategic supply chain requirements.
  • Coordinate selected transportation services from the RTO’s core competencies, including inbound freight management, compliance, claims, freight payment, and import/export services.
  • Develop and implement transportation metrics, support cost improvement programs, and participate in performance reviews to demonstrate operational success and budget execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain functions.
  • General knowledge of U.S. transportation industry and networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred: Experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and compliance.
  • Technological aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
