About the role
- Serve as a liaison between the Regional Transportation Organization and supported Operating Companies (OpCos).
- Manage inbound transportation networks to ensure optimal service for both shippers and receivers, resolving tactical issues on an exception basis.
- Provide input and analysis for strategic supply chain requirements.
- Coordinate selected transportation services from the RTO’s core competencies, including inbound freight management, compliance, claims, freight payment, and import/export services.
- Develop and implement transportation metrics, support cost improvement programs, and participate in performance reviews to demonstrate operational success and budget execution.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain functions.
- General knowledge of U.S. transportation industry and networks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred: Experience in project management.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and compliance.
- Technological aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
