About the role

  • Provide engineering and technical leadership for process design, order fulfillment equipment, repack/relabel equipment, and warehouse control/execution systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, and ISO requirements, supporting quality and operations to maintain validated states of GxP equipment and systems.
  • Explore and introduce innovative technological solutions and best practices from other sites.
  • Encourage innovation and process optimization within the team, driving initiatives for cost savings and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Quality, E&PS, EHS&S, Planning, and Suppliers.
  • Guide both day-to-day operations and strategic direction for process improvements and future capacity planning.
  • Support new product shipments by ensuring future capacity and robust processes.
  • Apply J&J Machine Safety standards, conduct WRAPS assessments, and execute remediation plans.
  • Design and implement process improvements using Lean and process excellence tools.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of new technologies and concepts per Deliver Growth Council processes.
  • Prepare project business cases and obtain approvals from the IRC board.
  • Oversee flawless execution of OPEX and CAPEX projects.
  • Provide user support and develop solutions to improve process robustness and user experience.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in supply chain, preferably in automated warehouses, packaging equipment, and execution systems (MES, warehouse and equipment control systems).
  • Strong ability to build collaborative teams and cross-functional/virtual relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to make complex information accessible to all organizational levels.
  • Technical background or experience in material handling and packaging equipment is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GDP principles, including qualification and validation approaches.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations at both company (J&J) and national/EU levels.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Green Belt Six Sigma and/or Project Management certifications (FPX) are preferred.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required. French is a plus.
