About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify sales opportunities for customized water and gas fire suppression solutions within your sales territory
  • Manage existing customers during significant plant expansions and actively acquire new customers
  • Support project evaluations and assess customer risks
  • Analyze calculation bases and on-site safety objectives and contribute to the development of concepts and cost estimates for system solutions
  • Occasionally prepare sales proposals independently
  • Conduct negotiations during the tendering/contract award process; experience in evaluating procurement regulations for construction work (VOB) and work/manufacturing contracts
  • Assess the market situation and competitor activity
  • Maintain and manage sales opportunities in the Salesforce CRM system
  • Attend trade shows, association events and technical symposia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in engineering or business, or completed technical training with proven professional experience in the sales of water—and optionally gas—extinguishing systems
  • Solid knowledge of fire suppression system technology
  • Experience in customer support and sales of technically demanding systems
  • Team player with the ability to achieve goals together with colleagues
  • Strong MS Office skills; knowledge of ES-Office and Salesforce is an advantage
