About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Basic Machine Helper supports the operation and maintenance of brake presses, punch turrets, and automated laser machines.
- Assisting with the setup, loading, unloading, and general upkeep of machines to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Unloading, loading material, and assisting the operator for Brake Presses, Punch Turrets, and Automated Lasers.
- Maintain cleanliness around the machine area, including tools and equipment.
- Computer data entry.
- Ensuring proper Labeling.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
- Help set up, load and unload machines and assist machine operators within the Fabrication Department.
- Stack finished product in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
- Assist in bending/cutting of raw materials.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints. (Preferred)
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Ability to lift and move materials within the required safety guidelines.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive tasks.
