About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for managing and coordinating the engineering, technical, and site execution aspects of HVAC works for large‑scale data center and critical facility projects.
- Supports the Project Manager to ensure safe, timely, compliant, and high‑quality project delivery, from design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate HVAC design development, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
- Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards.
- Resolve technical issues related to chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, ducting, pipework, and ventilation.
- Interface with consultants and clients to address technical queries and design clarifications.
- Manage day‑to‑day HVAC site activities to ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and schedules.
- Coordinate with main contractor, MEP trades, CSA teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with the approved project program.
- Support site supervision teams to ensure installation quality and workmanship standards.
- Coordinate pre‑commissioning, testing, and commissioning (T&C) activities.
- Work closely with commissioning agents, vendors, and client representatives.
- Ensure proper preparation of as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
- Support final inspections, snag clearance, and client acceptance.
- Assist the Project Manager in cost control, variation evaluation, and progress claims.
- Track material procurement, deliveries, and vendor schedules.
- Identify potential variation orders and schedule risks early.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection and test plans (ITP), and quality records.
- Enforce site HSE requirements and safe work practices.
- Support audits, inspections, and authority submissions as required.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Track RFIs, technical submissions, approvals, and site instructions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC project engineering
- Experience delivering large‑scale commercial, industrial, or data center projects is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience in HVAC installation, coordination, and commissioning
- Data center or mission‑critical project experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Chilled water systems (air‑cooled & water‑cooled), CRAH / CRAC units, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems
- Familiar with project schedules and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel)
