About the role

  • Create business advantage and grow profits through strategic account management and sales of Johnson Controls products and services
  • Manage Controls, Equipment and Mechanical Installation teams; assign projects to optimize resource utilization
  • Manage the Coastal Market and market teams in sale, development, delivery, and performance assurance to new and existing customers
  • Analyze local markets and business performance; adjust strategies to meet planned profits
  • Develop and deliver long and short-term strategic objectives; create business plans and budgets
  • Grow vertical market sales and expand scope of work within existing projects
  • Understand market environment including growth trends, legislation, and competitors
  • Drive cash flow via payment terms, proactive billing and collections
  • Establish staffing plans; develop leaders and high-performance teams; enforce performance management
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers; conduct regular business reviews
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and federal, state, and local legal requirements

Requirements

  • BA degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing (required)
  • Five years of management experience in the HVAC/buildings controls industry
  • Proven track record in matrix organizations, conflict resolution and change management
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Demonstrated background dealing with customer service issues
  • Time management and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to manage Controls, Equipment and Mechanical Installation teams
  • Preferred MBA
  • Preferred eight years of management experience in the HVAC/buildings controls industry
