About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supports the Equipment North America (EqNA) organization on startup, warranty, coordination with all other service needs.
  • Reports to the Regional Service Manager for the first 6 months and then moves to the Branch Service Manager.
  • Coordinates with the Customer Resource Coordinator (CRC) for all equipment field service labor requirements per customer expectations and contract requirements.
  • Acts as single point of contact for coordination of service scope related within equipment contract
  • Direct interface with EqNA customer.
  • Supports EqNA sales during project estimate by specifying service performance.
  • Provides custom quote for service items outside of Program, Commission, Adjust, and Train (PCAT) policy.
  • Attends RTO meetings when requested on complex projects or projects sold with Planned Service Agreement (PSA).
  • Validates details of the PSA to the SAE/Agent Project Owner including project submittals.
  • Conduct weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and Branch Operations Manager (BOM).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 plus years of Industry Experience or Technical Engineering or Construction degree graduate.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, (with emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook) Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Good conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to positively represent Johnson Controls and communicate with others at varying technical levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a large and diverse number of projects with professionalism, cooperation and persistence.
  • Demonstrated ability to organizational and attention to details.
  • Preferred: BA degree in Engineering or Construction.
  • HVAC equipment knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
