About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conducting electrical analysis, detailed design, and control
Overseeing the electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems
Providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally
Investigating and analyzing product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes
Recommending solutions
Preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs
Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service
Responsible for the accurate completion of projects
Continuously increasing expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications
Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components
Using standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field
Striving for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment
Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics and bills of materials
Adhering to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; minimum of 4 years’ experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment
Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and internationally
Preferred Experience crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments)
Understanding of chiller controls
Familiarity with HVAC Systems and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and test
Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software
Experience applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes
