About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conducting electrical analysis, detailed design, and control
  • Overseeing the electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems
  • Providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally
  • Investigating and analyzing product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes
  • Recommending solutions
  • Preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs
  • Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of projects
  • Continuously increasing expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications
  • Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components
  • Using standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field
  • Striving for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment
  • Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics and bills of materials
  • Adhering to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; minimum of 4 years’ experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and internationally
  • Preferred Experience crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments)
  • Understanding of chiller controls
  • Familiarity with HVAC Systems and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and test
  • Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software
  • Experience applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes
