About the role
- Represent one of the top tier brands in the Enterprise Security Products & finding new partners for JCI.
- Develop a strategy, roadmap, implementation plan and financial metrics for commercialization of Enterprise Security products and services to achieve rapid growth and established margin goals.
- Engage commercial and technology communities across Products, Retail, Installation and Services and other global vertical markets to collaborate and create revenue opportunities.
- Recruit, develop, and retain global commercialization talent to ensure our technologies are adopted and implemented successfully.
- Provide leadership and support to Johnson Control’s efforts to develop and foster a culture that stimulates innovation and facilitates adoption of new customer value propositions.
- Continually assess the market landscape and evaluate new technologies to identify strategic partnership opportunities with the objective of accelerating commercialization.
- Be a spokesperson for our vision and capabilities. Promote Johnson Controls as a thought leader and innovative company to the marketplace.
- Assist in the commercial development of our products to insure it exceeds market requirements.
- Collaborate with external partners to expand our products into to the market.
- Lead global Enterprise training and communication efforts to understand the value of our products.
- Provide clear communication on the business opportunity, customer needs and the exciting nature of security as a service.
- Develop a business plan and execute operationally to generate over $10M revenue annually.
- Own onboarding process for newly added partners.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
Requirements
- 5-year minimum working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
- Strategy and business plan development experience
- A creative and analytical style with the ability to build consensus through strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with people from a variety of technical and cultural backgrounds.
- Recognized as a thought leader and authority on partner development
- Experience, demeanor and humility to quickly garner respect and credibility with key internal and external constituencies and the horsepower to rally the organization around a strategic vision and game plan.
- Confident enough to challenge the status quo and the courage to take a stand along with the savvy to know when to make the tough call and when to employ diplomacy and patience.
- Possesses a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn.
