About the role
- Engineer smart, responsive environments by designing hardware and developing software.
- Draw from our standard library to create flow diagrams, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Code custom HVAC control software using proven design standards.
- Coordinate detailed drawings and equipment schedules for submittals.
- Select, order, and manage materials, aligning with factory-mounting timelines.
- Collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality and troubleshoot roadblocks.
- Capture field updates, revise system documentation, and prepare comprehensive operation manuals.
- Keep stakeholders informed on progress and provide site-specific training to operators.
- Record time sheets and expenses accurately and timely.
- Uphold high safety standards for yourself and the team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of real-world experience installing and commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers.
- Confident user of Metasys Tools like RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT, and Visio—these are your playgrounds.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and learning new technologies.
- Advanced computer skills, especially with drafting tools, to translate vision into design.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Computer Science—or equivalent field experience.
- 5+ years in the HVAC industry.
- Proven track record installing and commissioning control systems.
