About the role
- Manage and further develop the key account and ensure achievement of the company’s targets
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining successful business relationships with new and existing major customers in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries
- Lead the account-management strategy for a strategic Life Sciences account in the Controls Installation area
- Develop sales strategies for the Life Sciences key account across Germany
- Ensure order intake for the key account and implement projects in cooperation with the installation branch/team
- Define target objectives and monitor the achievement of target agreements
- Monitor and analyze the market and competitors
- Develop and implement a sales strategy, taking into account and promoting lifecycle thinking
Requirements
- University degree in a business or technical field, or completed commercial/technical vocational training with several years of relevant experience in strategic sales
- Several years of sales experience (preferably in solution sales or plant engineering) or in a technical leadership role within the Life Sciences industry
- Experience in the strategic development of a key account and in developing sales strategies for a key account
- Strong commercial and technical know-how and experience in complex technical solution sales, preferably from building services/engineering
- Experience planning and running trade shows with support from marketing
- Good knowledge of modern IT and CRM systems, in particular Salesforce.com
- Excellent market and customer knowledge
- Reliability, communication skills, confident presence, negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Independent working style, strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, target orientation and the ability to assert oneself are required
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
