About the role
- Drive sales growth across distributor network
- Identify new sales opportunities, expand wallet share with existing partners
- Deliver innovative parts solutions that enhance customer satisfaction
- Execute targeted sales strategies to grow indirect channel revenue in alignment with Global Parts goals
- Launch and manage marketing campaigns to boost product visibility and market share
- Analyze customer portfolios to identify growth opportunities and optimize sales efforts
- Collaborate across product lines to drive bundled sales and cross-promotions
- Work closely with Global and North America Parts teams to meet annual revenue and margin targets
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and maintain visibility into sales performance
- Promote Johnson Controls’ value proposition to differentiate offerings and win new business
- Represent Johnson Controls at industry events and trade shows (e.g., ASHRAE, HARDI)
- Provide market feedback to Product Management to inform future product development
- Deliver competitive insights and coordinate technical and sales support as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of HVAC sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel 50%+
- Proven success in remote work environments with strong self-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Flexibility to begin workday between 7:30–8:30 AM CT, regardless of time zone
- Strong problem-solving and customer relationship management skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced sales environment
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- 5+ years of experience in Aftermarket HVAC Parts Sales (Preferred)
