About the role
- Lead critical safety and environmental initiatives within a complex, matrixed manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance across multiple reporting lines and operational units
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective measures
- Champion a “Commitment to Safety” culture through behavior-based safety programs
- Deliver tailored EHS training programs that resonate with stakeholders
- Track leading indicators and drive KPI performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in HVAC
- Proven success in influencing matrixed teams and driving cultural transformation
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, ISO 14001/ 45001/ 9001, and behavior-based safety systems
- Proficient in EHS digital platforms, data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, tailored to varied audiences
- Ability to navigate between floors using steep stairwells
- Preferred EHS Certification (CSP, CHMM, CIH, PE or eligible for certification)
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology
