You will be responsible for managing an intake queue that includes a variety of Johnson Controls (JCI) products and services, tailored for both existing clients and potential whitespace opportunities.
Using company-provided tools such as a laptop and headset, you will engage clients via phone and email to qualify leads and schedule meetings for Security Front Line Sales or Security Inside Sales representatives.
Initiate proactive outreach to clients using phone and email, guided by a consultative approach that prioritizes understanding over selling.
Apply active listening and strategic questioning techniques to uncover client needs, pain points, and business challenges.
Tailor conversations to align JCI’s security solutions with the client’s operational goals, creating a compelling reason to engage further.
Utilize CRM tools and lead management platforms to assess inbound inquiries, ensuring each lead meets qualification criteria before handoff.
Convert qualified leads to scheduled appointments for Security Front Line Sales or Inside Sales representatives, maintaining a high conversion rate.
Maintain detailed records of interactions and outcomes to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Build and manage a dynamic pipeline by consistently following up with prospects and re-engaging dormant leads.
Develop long-term relationships with potential clients through value-driven communication and timely follow-ups.
Partner closely with sales teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and alignment on messaging, timing, and client expectations.
Stay up to date on JCI’s evolving product and service offerings, especially within the security portfolio, to confidently speak to their value.
Requirements
0-2 years of Inside Sales, telemarketing, or customer interaction experience.
Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality client experience.
Strong communicator and active listener with a consultative approach.
Team-oriented and able to build effective working relationships.
Organized and able to prioritize tasks and execute as needed.
Preferred 2-4 years of Inside Sales, telemarketing, or customer interaction experience.
Track record of over-achieving goals.
Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
Strong phone presence and experience dialing a high volume of calls (45-60 avg.) per day.
